J P McManus Invitational
Pro Am Golf Classic
The MooreHaven Centre received €50k from the
J P McManus Invitational Pro-Am Golf Classic in 2005.
This was used in the Phase 2 construction of the new
hall and classrooms in 2006.
The JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am Golf Classic is
again taking place in 2010. MooreHaven is organizing
the MooreHaven Golf Classic as a preliminary decider
for the team to play in the Grand Qualifiers to be run
off at the end of May 2010 in Adare Manor Hotel &
Golf Resort. The winners of the Grand Qualifier will
then play in the Classic proper in Adare in the Summer
of 2010.
The dates and venue for the
MooreHaven Golf Classic are:
Friday 30th April and
Saturday 1st May 2010 - Tipperary Golf Club
- The team fee is €240 per team of 3
- The goal is to have 60 teams playing
with the first team on the tee at 8.00am
and the last team out by 4.30pm
on Friday 30th April.
- Saturday times will be determined
by the number of teams participating.
- Stableford rules apply with the
overall winning team going forward to
the play off in the J P McManus Grand
Qualifier in Adare Manor Hotel &
Golf Resort in May, 2010.
Prizes will be sponsored by parents,
relatives, friends and companies associated
with the MooreHaven Centre.
- Up to 18 prizes will be presented in
addition to the overall prize of qualification
for the Grand Qualifi er in Adare Golf Club.
- The prize in the Grand Qualifi er is to play
with the world’s top professional golfers,
including our own Padraig Harrington &
Rory McIlroy, in the JP McManus Invitational
ProAm 2010 at Adare Manor Hotel &
Golf Resort, on 5th & 6th July, 2010.
