| MooreHaven
continues to respond to the needs of the day
service. Over the last 3 years €1.5
million has been spend on a capital development
programme that has seen a state of the art
Rehabilitative Training Building and new Hall
being built. The Hall is multi purpose -
providing a facility for indoor sports and it can
also be subdivided into 3 self contained
classrooms.
Going forward, the final
phase of the development of the day service will
embrace a new building for the Sheltered
Occupational Services. This will
facilitate up to 80 service users, providing day
occupation and sheltered employment.
The latter is also provided in the Garden Centre,
Sewing section, Upholstery and Woodwork sections.
On the Residential side,
19 service users are living in 4 MooreHaven homes
in the community in Tipperary. The
goal is to purchase and build on a site in
Tipperary town - units of accommodation for
supported independent living.
