MooreHaven policies provide the framework within which the organisation operates. The policies form the basis of the MooreHaven procedures for day to day operations.

It is the policy of MooreHaven Centre to comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work act 2005, the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007, all other legislation and Codes of Practice relating to MooreHaven as a place of Work.

It is also the policy of MooreHaven Centre to secure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare of all our employees, trainees & visitors and to provide such information, training and supervision as is necessary to achieve this purpose.

The Safety Statement, which is revised annually, sets out the duties and responsibilities of both management and staff in relation to safety & Health.

From 1 November 2013, HIQA are responsible for the process of registration, inspection and monitoring against the National Standards for Residential Services for Adults with Disabilities and the legal Regulations published by Government.

All centres providing residential (including respite) services to children and adults with disabilities must be registered with HIQA by law and will be visited by their inspectors to ensure they are providing an appropriate standard of care.

The MooreHaven Residential & Respite service is registered with HIQA.
