Social Care Worker – Relief 2020-01-20T16:17:14+00:00

We are currently recruiting for: Social Care Workers (Relief Panel) – Residential Service to support residents become as independent as possible in daily life-skills, working on individual programmes for each resident with a Multi-Disciplinary approach.  They will promote a positive and respectful awareness of learning disabilities in the community.

The person appointed to the post should be flexible in their approach to service provision & should have the ability to work as a member of a team.   He/she will be required to take an active part in ensuring that the day to day operations of the home reflect the Vision and Mission Statement of the MooreHaven Centre and that the needs of the residents are being met.  The person appointed will be working on their own.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 7 Social Care Qualification.
  • Minimum 6 month working in a similar role working w/adults with an intellectual disability.
  • A good level of administrative skills.
  • A good level of IT skills.
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence

A strong commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability are essential attributes for this role.  The successful candidate will need great people skills, be flexible and have experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.

Day Services Support Workers – Permanent Contract. 2020-01-20T14:22:38+00:00

We are currently recruiting Day Services Support Workers to support our service users in their Day Service Programme.  There are circa 40 high support people some of whom require a measure of extra support within the day service, to enable them to enjoy and partake fully within the daily activities of the Centre.   The days consists of a mix of learning, leisure and recreational pursuits combined with community involvement.  Community integration is promoted as far as is reasonably practicable for each individual.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Leaving certificate.
  • Level 5 QQI Qualification in Health Care.
  • Minimum 6 month working in a similar role working w/adults with an intellectual disability.
  • A good level of administrative skills.
  • A good level of IT skills.
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence
