Support Worker – Thurles Service – 1 day a week (Wednesday) 2019-10-30T16:54:02+00:00

We are looking for a support worker to support our services user(s) in their Day Service Program in the Thurles Day Service

Qualifications & Experience

  • Leaving certificate.
  • Level 5 QQI Qualification in Health Care.
  • Minimum 6 month working in a similar role working w/adults with an intellectual disability.
  • A good level of administrative skills.
  • A good level of IT skills.
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence

A strong commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability are essential attributes for theses role.  The successful candidate will need great people skills, be flexible and have experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.

We are looking for Relief Support Workers – Day Services  and Relief Support Workers – Residential Services; to support our services user(s) in their Day Service Program or Residential Homes.  The days consists of a mix of learning, leisure and recreational pursuits combined with community involvement. Community integration is promoted as far as is reasonably practicable for each individual.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Leaving certificate.
  • Level 5 QQI Qualification in Health Care.
  • Minimum 6 month working in a similar role working w/adults with an intellectual disability.
  • A good level of administrative skills.
  • A good level of IT skills.

MooreHaven Relief Res & Day Services Support Worker AppForm Oct 2019

Instructor Supervisor. – Permanent Part-time Contract – 19.5 hrs p/week (3 x 6.5hrs) 2019-10-30T16:41:44+00:00

Reporting to the Day Services Manager, the Instructor Supervisor will provide training to service users with a mild to moderate intellectual disability, to discover, recognise and acknowledge their existing abilities and to build on these at a pace and in a direction which is influenced by their abilities and takes into account the wishes of each individual as identified in their Person Centred Plan (PCP).

Qualifications

  • Leaving certificate.
  • QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer
  • QQI Level 7 in Education, Social Care or similar.
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 4 years working in an instructor/supervisory role working w/adults with an intellectual disability or a similar role
  • A high level of IT and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability is an essential attribute.
  • Excellent people skills, flexibility and experience in a complex changing work environment.
