We are currently recruiting for a Relief Cleaner who  will undertake a range of functions to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the MooreHaven Centre.

The person filling this role will be  responsible for a very high level of cleanliness and general housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

  • Leaving certificate.
  • A full clean Irish / EU Driving Licence is desirable.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year working in a similar role.
  • A commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability is an essential attribute.
  • Excellent people skills, flexibility and experience in a complex changing work environment.

Supervisor/Instructor – Day Activation – Day Services2021-05-27T15:56:38+00:00

We are currently recruiting a Supervisor/Instructor to support our service users in the Day Activation Area of our Day Service.  The successful candidate will ensure that through their individual choices our service users are living the life of their choosing. The Day Activation section require a measure of extra support to enable our service users to enjoy and partake in the daily activities of the Centre.

The role is to provide daily supervisory cover for service users ensuring their care, safety and wellbeing.  The person will be hands on with the group responding to the individual personal needs of each service user as identified through their person centred plan.

The person appointed to this role should be flexible in their approach to service provision & should have the ability to work as a member of a team.   He/she will be required to take an active part in ensuring that the needs of the service user(s) are being met.

The days/hours for this position are

Monday 9.15 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
Tuesday 9.15 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.
Friday    9.15 a.m. – 2.00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Leaving certificate.
  • QQI Level 6 Qualification in Disability Studies, Healthcare or similar
  • QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer is desirable
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence.

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year working in a similar role working with adults with an intellectual disability.
  • A high level of IT and administrative skills.
  • A commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability is an essential attribute.

We are currently recruiting a Temporary Maternity Cover Support Workers x 48 hours per week for our Residential Service.  

The purpose of the role is to support a resident as needed in his own home, with all aspects of daily living skills.  The days consist of learning, leisure and recreational pursuits combined with community involvement.  Community integration is promoted as far as is reasonably practicable for each individual.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • QQI Level 5 Qualification in Health Care.
  • 6 months experience in a similar role working with adults with an intellectual disability.
  • A good level of administrative skills.
  • A good level of IT skills.
  • A full clean Irish/EU Driving Licence

A strong commitment to caring and an empathetic understanding of those with an intellectual disability are essential attributes for this role.  The successful candidate will need great people skills, be flexible and have experience with rapid and complex changing work environments.
